The Naked Florist Experience - Maddie + Tommy

We asked bride Maddie a few questions about her experience with us. Here’s what she had to say….

What stood out the most about your experience with us?

I knew Ash was talented, but the way she brought my vision to life 1000000 x better than I could have ever imagined, it was mind blowing. I didn't truly understand what I wanted until I saw it in front of me... I said to Ash I wanted bright, fun pops of romantic colours and she made my wildest dreams come true. Ash also suggested so many beautiful flowers and colours, as well as the idea my bridesmaids should have different bouquets based on a flower that was part of mine. I was so obsessed and it was fun getting the girls to pick their bouquets the morning of the wedding while they were blind folded. What stood out is that Ash gave me exactly what I hoped for but levelled up times a billion trillion.

Did you feel relaxed, confident and informed during the booking process?

I had zero issues throughout the booking process. It was seamless because Ash made it really easy. I love the way she guided me through it all (because I had no idea and was often overwhelmed while wedding planning/making decisions) and I really appreciated how engaged she was. Ash always offered ideas and supported my vision, but made it SO. MUCH. BETTER. I'll keep saying it.

If we weren’t to have created for you, do you think your day would have had the same feeling?

Absolutely not. Ash was the florist I wanted from the get go, so I would have been GUTTED if she couldn't have created her magic on our day. I knew I was in good hands... Ash is so creative and pulls together the most stunning arrangements. I have followed her work for a long time and had my heart set on The Naked Florist being the one to bring my flower dreams to life. I knew she'd make everything about our day pop the way I'd hoped... and she did not disappoint.

Did we exceed your expectations in any way?

IN EVERY WAY HUMANLY POSSIBLE. From our initial conversation, to the online chats, to the in person get togethers, right to the day of the wedding I loved working with Ash so much. She made me feel in control and that what I imagined for our wedding would be delivered in the most spectacular way and within our budget. I had a very brief vision which Ash helped me flesh out and HOLY MOLEY did she deliver. The ceremony arrangement was exactly what I wanted (bright pink florals in white vases on plinths at different heights which looked INCREDIBLE in our photos), the flowers on the reception tables were divine and there is no question she NAILED the bouquets - mine (of course) and my bridesmaids. The petals for my flower girls and extras to add to the aisle was the most beautiful touch too. We even used some of the left over flowers to decorate the grazing table which was so cute and on brand. I was blown away with the whole experience!

Lastly, did you love what we created for you?

OBSESSED. I will always remember the moment Ash walked into the main house at Greystone Estate on the morning of my wedding, smiling at me as she carried in the flowers. I couldn't have smiled any bigger. I think I may have even shrieked with excitement at the first sight of my bouquet. It was more than I could ever have dreamed and seeing it for the first time was the best surprise. I definitely fought back tears. The flower choices and the colours were absolutely perfect. It was so fun, so pink and exactly what I wanted. The bridesmaid's bouquets were stunning, as I mentioned it was Ash's idea to make all four different. One bridesmaid had pink roses, another had pink hydrangeas and so on. It was such a great touch. The ceremony display (vases on plinths) had me beaming even brighter when I spotted it as I walked down the aisle... it framed Tommy and I so beautifully in our photos and videos. Walking into the reception to see the pops of pink flowers in bud vases on our black tablecloths was electric and the ceremony arrangement was moved inside so we could enjoy it all night, which was something I knew I wanted from the beginning. Every element made me smile, it was all so 'us' and I am so grateful The Naked Florist was part of our day. I'll cherish it forever.
