The Naked Florist Experience - Sewon + Michael
All Images by Kyle Ingram
Wed at Wallalong house in the Hunter Valley Sewon and Michael shared the most perfect day with their nearest and dearest. This was a day that we would ever forget for Sewon and Michael we’re just two of the most joyous souls. It was only appropriate to be using colour throughout their wedding flowers, something as bright and beautiful as their personalities.
What stood out the most about your experience with us?
There was phenomenal communication and support during the lead up to the wedding. I can't stress enough how helpful it was to have an experienced hand such as Ash to guide us through the process. From emails, to an in-person meet up, to support on the day, she was truly an all star vendor. She was switched on from the moment of first contact, to design creation, and in execution. The care she has for her art is also second to none - she carefully selects florals from her growers on top of her huge market runs. She is a true professional and artist. To top it off, when the day finally came, I was beyond elated to see that the florals were even better than all the versions that I'd pinterested, imagined and discussed! It was all such a positive experience that added to the magic of the day.
Did you feel relaxed, confident and informed during the booking process?
Most definitely! If I had questions or change in ideas, I was confident that I could discuss it via email and reshape the quote. Every item was clearly laid out and easy to see in terms of budget. Ash gave us flexibility in options for various items based on our changing budget and this was hugely helpful in the leadup to the day. Florals were a high priority on my wedding agenda and I took a lot of care in choosing a florist - I knew Naked Florist was the one as she instilled the most confidence. From the beginning I knew I could fully rely on her for this part of the day and boy did she deliver!
If we weren’t to have created for you, do you think your day would have had the same feeling?
Honestly no, the florals were such a highlight and their own star of the wedding. It's all the little factors that I don't know I would've had without Naked Florist; from requests of specific types of flowers that I was obsessing over, to the beautiful different bouquets of my bridesmaids making up parts of my own, to the yellow boutonnieres of the groomsmen matching the bridesmaid dresses, the guests taking home their own floral favours, and of course, the aftermath! The flurry of beautiful photos and reels, being able to relive the moment again and again. I don't know how all of this could be replicated with anyone else.
Did we exceed your expectations in any way?
Yes! I already had such high expectations given all of the previous work I'd seen but I was blown away on the day. Everything was stunning - from the bouquets, to the ceremony space, the reception tables - and I'm particularly obsessed with the pictures showcasing the florals around us seated at the reception. I was chuffed to see on the day when my husband's jaw dropped as we walked past the ceremony space after the first look and he said they were the most beautiful florals he'd ever seen.
Lastly, did you love what we created for you?
A thousand times yes! These creations live forever rent free in my mind and I'm excited to have the bouquet preserved and hanging in my home very soon.
